Victoria Thayer Recognized as In Business Madison 40 Under 40 for Leadership in Accounting and Community
In Business Madison has named Victoria Thayer, Founder and Managing Partner of Novii CPA, to its prestigious 2025 Forty Under 40 list, recognizing her impact in financial strategy, business growth, and community advocacy.
As a leader in the medtech and life sciences industries, Thayer has redefined financial strategy for high-growth startups navigating complex compliance, tax, and funding challenges. Since founding Novii CPA in June 2023, she has helped early-stage biotech, life sciences, and manufacturing firms scale sustainably, ensuring they optimize funding sources, comply with grant regulations, and develop financial roadmaps that position them for long-term success. Under her leadership, Novii CPA has expanded from a solo practice to a seven-member team, servicing over 40 clients with a scalable, tech-forward accounting model tailored to the unique needs of innovative businesses.
“This honor reflects the work we’re doing at Novii CPA to bridge the financial gap for medtech and life sciences entrepreneurs,” said Thayer. “Startups in these industries face distinct financial challenges—grant compliance, R&D tax strategy, and investor reporting—that require specialized expertise. I’m proud to support founders and scientists who are driving innovation in healthcare and technology.”
Beyond her professional success, Thayer is a dedicated advocate for financial literacy and economic empowerment. She serves on multiple nonprofit boards, including Starting Block, Madison Reading Project, Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) Advisory Board, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County Finance Committee. She has also led initiatives to equip Latino entrepreneurs with financial tools, creating the first Spanish-language QuickBooks Online course and hosting bilingual workshops on business financial management.
Her contributions to the accounting and entrepreneurial ecosystem have earned her multiple accolades, including the 2024 AICPA Outstanding Young CPA Award, Top 50 Women in Accounting by Ignition, 2023 WICPA Young Professional Excellence Award, and the 2023 AICPA
Leadership Academy. Additionally, she was named Madison’s Choice Favorite Accountant in 2024, with Novii CPA ranking second in the Favorite Accounting Firm category.
Looking ahead, Thayer plans to expand Novii CPA’s presence in biotech and life sciences, building financial strategies that empower startups to scale from grant-funded research to commercial success. She is also developing educational programs in partnership with the Wisconsin Latino Chamber of Commerce, helping founders in tech and healthcare navigate financial planning, investor readiness, and business growth.
The In Business Madison Forty Under 40 award recognizes rising professionals who demonstrate outstanding career success, leadership, and community impact.
